Local 300 and Vermont's Renewable Energy Landscape

The 2016 Vermont Comprehensive Energy Plan (CEP) sets out a pathway for Vermont to obtain 90% of its energy from renewable sources by 2050.

In order to help Vermont meet this aggressive renewable energy goal, IBEW Local 300 members have worked through Vermont's summers and winters installing solar arrays throughout the state. In addition, the boom of the green economy has grown Local 300's membership and solidified the union's commitment to facing the challenges of the new renewable energy landscape.

In 2016, Local 300 members were the first to partner with Green Mountain Power and install Tesla Powerwalls through their innovate Tesla Battery Program. Check out that story in our news archives here.

IBEW members have installed over 142 Megawatts of solar in the state of Vermont!!
