Montpelier Passes Responsible Employer Ordinance
The Vermont Building and Construction Trades Council worked with the City of Montpelier for the past year in drafting and testifying on the Responsible Employer Ordinance. The Ordinance is the first of it's kind in the state of Vermont. Any municipal project at $200,000 or more requires employers to follow the Vermont State Prevailing Wage Law.
At the very least, this ordinance provides a boost in pay to any employee on a municipal project, raising the quality of life for the folks that build the city!
